Who is the Pirate Forge for?
Founders building their first SaaS – and the much larger group of professionals who don't yet call themselves founders. If you've built deep expertise in a field (consulting, design, product, ops, education, anything) and you've been wondering whether you could ship a real software product around it: this is built for you. Whether you've already fallen into the Builder Trap (build, build, no customers) or the Marketer Trap (launch, launch, no product), the Build-Grow-Repeat loop breaks both.
What's in the Forge Pass?
The live Build and Grow workshops with Ben – one 2-hour Zoom session a week – plus the recordings, the 72 on-demand video lessons, the workbooks and the Pirate Codex. Your gold refills to 10,000 every month, starting the day you get the pass, and the Pirate Pass is included: a free ticket to any Pirate Skills hackathon now and every three months, Pirate Night and the quarterly build-log.
How does the three-month minimum work?
The Forge Pass is €300 a month, with VAT added at checkout. The first three months are the minimum. After that it runs month to month and you can cancel any time from your billing page. If you cancel inside the first three months, billing runs to the end of month three and then stops by itself.
When can I start? Do I have to wait for a new cohort?
You can start at the beginning of either six-week phase, and both run several times a year. Right now the next Build phase starts 30 Sep 2026 and the next Grow phase starts 11 Nov 2026. Start with Build to set up the beginnings of your app before you market it, or start with Grow to set up your landing page, waiting list and growth strategy and validate the idea before you build. Pro tip: the recordings, video lessons and workbooks open the day you get the pass – use the weeks before your phase starts to learn at your pace and arrive with very specific questions about your own product.
What if I miss a live workshop?
Every live session is recorded and lands in your library the same week. The on-demand lessons work as prep or catch-up too. And while you hold the pass you can join the same workshop again in a later round – nothing is one-shot.
What's the time commitment?
One 2-hour Zoom session per week during a phase, plus 2–4 hours of building between sessions. Everyone moves differently – some founders go full-time, others take it slower. My recommendation: take your time and learn it properly. The loop compounds when the lessons sink in.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The Pirate Forge is designed for founders going from zero dev skills to a working, paying SaaS. Ben ran this exact loop on himself starting Christmas 2024 as a non-coder – it's built from that beginner's seat, not from a senior engineer's hindsight.
What stack will I learn?
We're not married to any specific tools – use what you love. What we offer is an opinionated stack that's modern and works really well for vibe coders right now. Build tools: Claude Code, Next.js, Neon, Clerk, Stripe, Vercel. Grow tools: PostHog, Resend, n8n, Late, Attio, 21st.dev. Swap freely – e.g. use Codex instead of Claude Code, as long as it gives you roughly the same workflow. Same outcome either way.
What if it's not for me?
The Captain's Promise: if the Forge Pass is not for you, message Ben within 14 days of getting it and your first month is refunded in full. The three-month minimum is waived too, so the pass simply ends and nothing more is charged.
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. For every paid pass we sponsor one scholarship through the Pay One, Give One program. Primary candidates are students and people working at NGOs. If your application is accepted, Ben grants you the Forge Pass for the phase you applied for.
