Who this is for

No technical background needed. That is not a disclaimer – it is the point.

This is for you if

  • You use ChatGPT and suspect there is more, but nobody has shown you what
  • Founder, marketer, product or a professional whose work is not writing code
  • You want one clear use case of your own, not a tour of forty tools
  • You would rather see something real happen than sit through slides

Probably not, if

  • You already build with AI agents day to day
  • You want a tool comparison or a vendor evaluation
  • You are looking for a certificate

Already building? Pirate Lab is the room you want.

Three rungs,
one hour

We take one real task and run it at all three levels. Same task, three very different answers – that is where you find your own.

Chat A better Google

Rung 1

You ask, it answers. Drafting, summarising, explaining, researching – all in a chat window, all from what the model already knows.

What it unlocks

Faster writing and clearer thinking. Most people who say they use AI are here, and it is genuinely useful.

Where it stops

It has no access to your actual work. Not your files, not your inbox, not your customers. Everything it gives you, you still have to carry across by hand.

The next rung gives it access to the work itself.

Act AI that does the work

Rung 2

Connect it to the tools you already use – your documents, your calendar, your inbox, your data – and let it operate them instead of describing what you should do.

What it unlocks

The copy-paste work disappears. The task gets done in the tools where the work actually lives, with your real context.

Where it stops

It still waits for you to ask. Every time the task comes back around, you start the conversation again from scratch.

The next rung turns the task into something that runs without being asked.

Build You own the software

Rung 3

Describe the tool you need and have it built. An internal tool for your team, or a real product for your customers – without hiring a developer first.

What it unlocks

The task stops being a task. It becomes a thing that exists and keeps working, and you own it rather than renting it.

Where it stops

Nothing here is magic. It takes practice, and the gap between the first version and something people rely on is real work.

Why I run this

I spent years waiting for someone else to build my products.

I am not a developer. For most of my career as a founder, that meant every idea I had went through someone else – a technical co-founder, a product person, an agency. I could sell the thing. I could not build it. So the roadmap was never really mine.

What changed was not that I became technical. The tools moved. The distance between describing what you want and having it exist got short enough that someone like me could cross it.

That is the whole reason this session exists. Not to convince you that AI is important – you already know that. To show you where the ladder actually starts, and that the first rung is closer than it looks.

– Ben Sufiani, founder of Pirate Skills

What you leave with

Not notes. Three concrete things, decided by you, before the hour is over.

Your position on the map

Where you actually stand today – not where the internet says you should be.

One use case that is yours

A specific thing from your own work that AI can take over, named out loud.

One clear next step

The single move that gets you to the next rung, matched to where you are.

The route from here

Wherever you land, there is a next room. Most of them are free.

The twelve-week cohort. Same craft, compressed – because doing this alone takes months of trial and error. Paid, and deliberately not for everyone.
