# Versions and retirement

The HTTP API's version is in its address. Within a version we only add, and we retire one only after at least 90 days' notice.

Current: v1

## v1 only grows

The version is in the address: `/api/public/agent/v1/tools`. The address without `v1` is the same door. Within v1 we only add – new tools, new fields – and never remove or change what is there.

## A breaking change is v2

A change that would break your code ships as `v2`, beside v1. We retire a version only after at least **90 days' notice**: from the day we announce it, its answers carry a `Deprecation` header and a `Sunset` header with the last day, and the date is written on this page.

## Announced retirements

None. v1 has no retirement date.
