# Pirate Skills in your AI assistant

Bring Pirate Skills into Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex in two minutes: events and prices come back as cards, growth answers link the chapter, and once you sign in it registers you – always after asking first.

## Set up in two steps

### Claude (Claude.ai & Claude Desktop)

#### 1. Connect it – look things up and see the cards, no account needed

1. In Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open **Customize → Connectors**, click **+** and choose **Add custom connector**.
2. Paste this address and click **Add**:

   ```
   https://pirateskills.com/mcp
   ```
3. In a chat, open the **+** menu → **Connectors**, switch Pirate Skills on and ask what's on at Pirate Skills.

_Works on every Claude plan – on Free it's your one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it once in Organization settings → Connectors, then everyone clicks Connect._

#### 2. Sign in – only to register, book or check your wallet

1. In **Customize → Connectors**, click **Connect** next to Pirate Skills.
2. On the Pirate Skills page, check it names Claude, then click **Allow**.
3. Back in Claude it shows as connected. Each thing it does for you costs 1 gold.

#### Optional: teach it the skill

1. Download the Pirate Skills skill. It's one small file, zipped – no need to open it.

2. In Claude, open **Customize → Skills**, click **+** and choose **Create skill → Upload a skill**.
3. Pick the file you just downloaded and switch the skill on.

_Skills need Code execution and file creation switched on in Settings → Capabilities. On Enterprise, an owner turns skills on first._

### ChatGPT (Web & apps)

#### 1. Connect it – look things up and see the cards, no account needed

1. In the ChatGPT app, open **Settings → Plugins → MCPs**, then **Add → Add MCP server**.
2. Name it **pirateskills**, choose **Streamable HTTP**, paste the address and save:

   ```
   https://pirateskills.com/mcp
   ```
3. Start a chat in **Work** and ask what's on at Pirate Skills.

_On chatgpt.com in the browser, turn on Developer mode first, in Settings → Security and login. It needs a paid plan, and on a work account your admin may have to allow it._

#### 2. Sign in – only to register, book or check your wallet

1. Next to **pirateskills**, click **Authenticate**.
2. On the Pirate Skills page, check it names ChatGPT, then click **Allow**.
3. Back in ChatGPT it shows as signed in. Each thing it does for you costs 1 gold.

#### Optional: teach it the skill

ChatGPT doesn't use skills – and doesn't need one. Connecting it in the next step is all it takes.

### Claude Code (In your terminal)

#### 1. Connect it – look things up and see the cards, no account needed

1. Run this in your terminal:

   ```
   claude mcp add --transport http --scope user pirateskills https://pirateskills.com/mcp
   ```
2. Start Claude Code and ask what's on at Pirate Skills.

_--scope user makes it work in every folder. Leave it out to add Pirate Skills to this project only._

#### 2. Sign in – only to register, book or check your wallet

1. In Claude Code, type **/mcp**, pick **pirateskills** and choose **Authenticate**.
2. On the Pirate Skills page, check it names Claude Code, then click **Allow**.
3. Back in the terminal it shows as connected. Each thing it does for you costs 1 gold.

#### Optional: teach it the skill

1. Run this in your terminal. When it asks which apps should learn the skill, pick **Claude Code**.

   ```
   npx skills add https://pirateskills.com/skills/pirateskills/SKILL.md
   ```

### Cursor (Code editor)

#### 1. Connect it – look things up and see the cards, no account needed

1. Click the button, then confirm the install in Cursor.

2. No button? Open the **Customize** page in Cursor's sidebar, add an MCP server called pirateskills and give it this address:

   ```
   https://pirateskills.com/mcp
   ```

#### 2. Sign in – only to register, book or check your wallet

1. When Cursor asks, sign in with your Pirate Skills account.
2. On the Pirate Skills page, check it names Cursor, then click **Allow**.
3. Back in Cursor it shows as connected. Each thing it does for you costs 1 gold.

#### Optional: teach it the skill

1. Run this in your terminal. When it asks which apps should learn the skill, pick **Cursor**.

   ```
   npx skills add https://pirateskills.com/skills/pirateskills/SKILL.md
   ```

### Codex (OpenAI's coding agent)

#### 1. Connect it – look things up and see the cards, no account needed

1. Run this in your terminal:

   ```
   codex mcp add pirateskills --url https://pirateskills.com/mcp
   ```

_One setup covers Codex in the terminal, the editor extension and the desktop app._

#### 2. Sign in – only to register, book or check your wallet

1. Run this in your terminal:

   ```
   codex mcp login pirateskills
   ```
2. On the Pirate Skills page, check it names Codex, then click **Allow**.
3. Back in the terminal it shows as signed in. Each thing it does for you costs 1 gold.

#### Optional: teach it the skill

1. Run this in your terminal. When it asks which apps should learn the skill, pick **Codex**.

- "How do I write a landing page that converts? Use the Pirate Skills Codex and link the chapters." – No account
- "What's the difference between the Pirate Pass and the Forge Pass?" – Shows the offers card · no account
- "Register me for the next AI Compass." – Needs sign-in
- "How much gold do I have, and what did I spend it on?" – Needs sign-in
- "I'm thinking about the Forge Pass – can I talk to Ben first?" – Books a free intro call · needs sign-in
